From 12 September it is possible to admire, in the Sala Ercole at Palazzo d’Accursio, the exhibition of bas-reliefs painted by Ivan Dimitrov “Under the sign of the arcades”.
On display is a selection of the characteristic three-dimensional effect terracotta bas-reliefs that the well-known Bulgarian artist, Bolognese by adoption, dedicated to Bologna and which have become distinctive and identifying works of his art.
The unexpected shots, the perspective magic and the play of light and shadow of Dimitrov’s works will transport the visitor into the heart and atmosphere of a magical and timeless Bologna, whose charm and beauty have always entered the hearts of singers, artists and poets. And to confirm how this feeling towards the city through time and history, along the exhibition path the works are accompanied by texts that report the impressions of many famous travelers who have visited it, even in the past, and who have wanted to leave in their writings an indelible testimony of this experience.
On the occasion, facts and curiosities related to events and the history of Bologna are also reported.
The exhibition is divided into a singular journey in stages; after the exhibition at Palazzo d’Accursio it will move from October 31st to November 29th, at the “E.Possati” museum hall of the Baraccano Complex, via Santo Stefano 119.
The following provisions are implemented:
– obligation to wear a mask during the visit
– quota entry. The staff present will monitor compliance with the safety distance
– arrangement of distinct routes in and out
– supply of sanitizing gels available to visitors
