Due to its position, close to the hills, Bologna offers high points with suggestive panoramic views, both towards the city and towards the Apennines … and you don’t need to go too far from the center.
If you already know the view from the top of San Luca, there are other panoramic points in the city where you can admire it in all its beauty:
the Torre degli Asinelli, symbol par excellence of Bologna, is 97 meters high, and as you walk the 498 steps you can enjoy a breathtaking view, directly from the heart of the city;
San Michele in Bosco is another place from which you can enjoy an excellent view looking directly from the balcony, from which you can admire the various medieval towers including the Torre degli Asinelli.
The panoramic terrace of the Basilica of San Petronio is accessible from Piazza Galvani and with its 54 meters high the view is unique.
Also worth mentioning is the bell tower of the Cathedral of San Pietro, in via Indipendenza 9: 70 meters high, it gives the opportunity to enjoy a panorama of the historic center.
