After the restrictions for the health emergency and after an almost total blockage of national and international connections, Bologna Marconi airport is also preparing to restart.
It starts again, yes, but with new rules to safeguard the health of everyone, passengers and operators. In fact, everyone wears masks, in addition to using thermal scanners that instantly detect the body temperature of travelers in all strategic passages: two at the main entrances, two at departures, one at check-in, three at Schengen arrivals, three at extra arrivals -Schengen and one for private flights.
Thus, the first international flight arriving at Bologna Airport after the lockdown for the Covid-19 emergency landed at midnight and a half.
It was an Airbus A320 of the Wizzair airline coming from Budapest with 87 passengers on board. The aircraft then left overnight for the Hungarian capital. Another Wizzair flight, this time from Sofia, is expected for this evening, while in the next few days, all the connections of the Hungarian low cost airline will gradually become active again.
As of June 10, Air France will gradually resume connections from Bologna airport and, by the end of June, will operate 4 flights a week to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
But new flights await us!
From 3 July, in fact, a new connection will be available operated by the carrier from the Emilian airport to Olbia, which further strengthens the possibility of traveling between the Peninsula and Sardinia. The flight will operate 7 days a week, for a total of 31,200 seats on sale and 200 flights. The new route is already available on the website www.volotea.com, at travel agencies or by contacting the Volotea call center.
In the next month the airline will increase, on a global scale, the number of flights by more than 60% compared to the month of June bringing its operations to 25-30%.
