The initiative “This is Bologna” was born to let tourists and Bolognese people know or rediscover the stories, anecdotes, squares and senatorial buildings of the city.
From 12 June a series of unpublished tours that will rediscover the city and its surroundings, the secrets, the lesser known corners, but also the greenery of the metropolitan area.
Made in concert with the Associations of Guides Confguide-ASCOM and Federagit-CONFESERCENTI, Bologna Welcome, the tours are also conceived in the awareness that citizens are the best ambassadors of the city itself and it is therefore important to start from a local dimension to promote the destination.
More tours will depart every day from the Bologna Welcome information point in Piazza Maggiore, and late afternoon or evening time slots will be privileged to facilitate workers. In the program there are several proposals for visits for all tastes and categories, on foot, but also by bicycle: families with children, history and music enthusiasts, lovers of city and hill walks or just curious. The visits will affect both the capital and the surrounding areas, the plain, the hill and the Apennines and the Imola area. The range of products is rich and varied, in fact, they are over 40 different tours, created ad hoc to satisfy the desire to rediscover the territory and recover the city after the period related to the emergency.
Here are some examples: “Journey into the music of Bologna: classical, jazz and pop”; “Charterhouse – The secrets of the city of the dead”; “Between culture and nature – from the center to the first hill”; “Bologna Dotta”; “Walking with King Enzo”; “Cinema and Bologna”.
As for the territories of the metropolitan city, the offer is equally varied. Some proposals are: “Orchis way – exotic wonders at La Martina Park”, “The sunset of the Gods”, “Secrets and wonders of the forest”, “By bike in the Park of the Romagna chalk vein”, “Dozza village of art” or again, “By bike towards little Bologna” and “The Bolognese plain between round villages, avatars and marsh turtles”.
The tours can be purchased at the Bologna Welcome information point or on the Bologna Welcome website, with discounts for Card Culture holders.
