From 4 to 7 May, BCBF Online Special Edition will revive, in an unusual virtual guise, not only the precious business opportunities but also the exclusive content and the numerous opportunities for all professionals in the sector including digital exhibitions, webinars, conferences, booktrailers, live streaming ads and much more
At the heart of the offer will be the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Global Rights Exchange, a real hub for the exchange of online rights which will remain open until the end of the year and is the result of the collaboration between BolognaFiere and PubMatch, a consolidated platform based in United States. The most important editorial releases, which are concentrated every year on the occasion of the fair, move to the online platform, which thus allows the nearly 1500 exhibitors already registered for BCBF 2020 to present their titles, make and receive offers and schedule video-meetings with other participants.
The platform can also be accessed by publishers and literary agents who participated as visitors in 2019 and who had already pre-registered for the 2020 edition. The BCBF Global Rights Exchange initiative is implemented by BolognaFiere / BCBF within Aldus, the European network of book fairs co-financed by the Creative Europe program.
BCBF also does not renounce the role of inevitable appointment to discover the latest trends in the sector by presenting a vast calendar of conferences, webinars, interviews and in-depth activities. This rich program opens, the inauguration conference that will take place on May 4 at 11 am, dedicated to the work of children’s publishing during the world lockdown and its prospects in the world redesigned from the experience of these months.
Parallel to the site, Fairtales will also develop, a new dedicated blog with continuously updated information on the world of BCBF, including the main appointments, interviews, specific focuses, guest columns, exclusive in-depth content, important articles and much more: a communication dynamic, in full BCBF style, always online starting May 4th.
