There is great anticipation for the Cinema Sotto le Stelle in Bologna.
From 4th July the big screen in Piazza Maggiore and BarArena will screen many films from the restored ones to the contemporary ones.
55 summer evenings in the most beautiful “cinema” in the world which at the end of August will weave the evening program of the 34th edition of the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival, exceptionally moved forward compared to the traditional appointment at the end of June.
A great gift, a symbol of restart and that this year brings with it a nice novelty: the screen of Piazza Maggiore is flanked by that of the BarcArena, set up at the Centro Sportivo Barca, which will offer every evening, at the same time, at 9.30 pm, the same program as Piazza Maggiore.
Two complementary experiences, to offer the public a further opportunity: in Piazza Maggiore, the monumental magic of Bologna, at the BarcArena, a vision surrounded by greenery. 1,000 people will be welcomed in Piazza Maggiore every evening, 750 people at the BarcArena.
HOW TO ACCESS
To ensure that Sotto le stelle del cinema runs in total safety, to access the screenings in Piazza Maggiore and the BarcArena, a reservation will be required, to be made online, for most of the available places.
From the Bologna Welcome website it will be possible to book a maximum of 4 seats per evening. Every day the system will update itself and take a step forward: reservations will therefore be available, each time, for 7 consecutive evenings, starting from the day on which you access the booking system. An example: on August 5, by accessing the Bologna Welcome website, I will be able to book the screenings for days 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 August.
With the firm intention of realizing an event as inclusive as possible, thus maintaining the purest spirit of an event adored by all Bolognese, you can book a number of tickets even without accessing the online system. At the Bologna Welcome counters, under the Voltone of Palazzo del Podestà (open Monday to Saturday from 10 to 19, Sunday from 11 to 17), tickets (always free) can be collected.
Access to the chairs in Piazza Maggiore will be possible by 9.10 pm from 4 different points, which will be indicated in the booking. The composition of the places available in Piazza Maggiore will be calculated naturally in compliance with the distance rules and all spectators will naturally be required to respect the place assigned to them.
Where it will not be possible to sit, there will still be very clear indications. The seating area dedicated to spectators will be demarcated and accessible only by reservation. In the “corridors” that will remain free in Piazza Maggiore it will not be possible to stop, but only to circulate. For this, as for all the other indications and limitations that we have now listed, we naturally ask for the maximum collaboration of the Bolognese public.
